FitOS Privacy Policy

FitOS ("we", "our", "the app") is a personal fitness tracking application. This privacy policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Information We Collect

When you use FitOS, we collect:

• Account information: email address used to create your account
• Profile data: age, weight, height, sex, fitness goals, experience level, equipment access, injuries (if you choose to provide)
• Workout data: exercises, sets, reps, weights, and session history
• Nutrition data: food logs, meal entries, photos you upload for analysis
• Recovery data: sleep hours, HRV, soreness, mood logs
• Body metrics: weight measurements and body fat percentages you log
• Apple Health data: if you grant permission, we read your steps, sleep, heart rate, weight, and workout history from Apple Health to display in the app
• AI conversations: messages you send to the AI coach feature

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide personalized workout programs and recipes
• Track your progress over time
• Generate AI-powered nutrition analysis from photos
• Power the AI coach to answer your fitness questions
• Send notifications about workouts, meals, and recipes (only if you enable them)

We do not sell your data to third parties or use it for advertising.

Third-Party Services

FitOS uses these services to function:

• Supabase — stores your account and fitness data securely (privacy policy)
• Anthropic Claude — powers AI features like coach chat, recipe generation, and food photo analysis (privacy policy)
• Apple HealthKit — reads and writes health data on your device (only with your explicit permission)

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Supabase servers (PostgreSQL database). All connections use TLS encryption. Apple Health data stays on your device unless you explicitly choose to sync it.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Revoke Apple Health permissions at any time via iPhone Settings → Privacy → Health → FitOS
• Disable notifications via iPhone Settings → Notifications → FitOS

Children's Privacy

FitOS is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change.
